·         Train cadets on all pre-commissioning tasks with emphasis on land navigation, first aid, small unit tactics and marksmanship.

·         Researched, developed and implemented the Cadet of the Semester Competition.

·         Provide leadership of 79 cadets and 9 cadres with a command operation budget of $90,000.

·         Responsible for the overall maintenance and serviceability of the newly constructed living quarters for single soldiers worth in excess of one million dollars.

·         Read, analyzed and interpreted regulations and procedures; disseminated information and/or guidance on new or changing administrative policies and procedures.

·         Developed and implemented policies, internal guidance and standing operating procedures pertaining to human resource programs.

·         Reviewed all assigned personnel records to identify qualified individuals for career advancement.

·         Produced routine and special reports, compiled data for statistical reports and operations plans, and edited and prepared tactical and training plans.


First Sergeant, United States Army, B Troop, 4-8 Cavalry, Camp Casey, Korea                                                    2009-2010                                                                                                                

·         Served as the Senior Human Resource advisor to the Company Commander and all assigned military personnel.

·         Compiled data and advised the commander on Military Medical Retention Boards (MMRB), and Medical Evaluation Boards (MEB) procedures, and statuses.

·         Coordinated directly with branch assignment managers to request or reassign soldiers for career progression and schooling opportunities.

·         Directly supervised the personnel actions section to provide accurate reports to higher commands on Noncommissioned Officer Evaluation Report (NCOER) processing, awards, financial and other personnel action transactions.

·         Conducted meetings with managers and supervisors to formulate improvement to plans and strategies to streamline the efficiency of company operations.

·         Supervised the direct accountability, maintenance, and mission posture of all company property of $40 million.

·         Revised the company’s maintenance procedures, which improved the tracking of maintenance issues resulting in a 30% improvement of operational readiness of the department.

·         Implemented adjustments to policies, programs, projects and studies to resolve problems and improve business systems management operations and leadership.


First Sergeant, United States Army, Joint Readiness Training Center, Fort Polk, Leesville, LA                          2006-2009                                                                                                                

·         Conducted advanced collective training for companies deploying in support of the Global War on Terrorism.

·         Coached, trained, and mentored rotational company's leadership and soldiers on operations in the contemporary operating environment (COE).

·         Professionally developed subordinates; ensured safe training; responsible for $1.4 million worth of equipment                                                                    


First Sergeant Timothy L. Wright is a native of Augusta, Georgia. He entered the United States Army in March 1989 and completed One Station Unit Training as an Armored Reconnaissance Specialist at Fort Knox, Kentucky.

First Sergeant Wright’s stateside assignments include tours with 4th Battalion, 64 Armor at Fort Stewart Georgia; 1st Battalion 23 Infantry at Fort Lewis, Washington; 2 Battalion 69th Armor at Fort Benning Georgia; the United States Army Noncommissioned Officers Academy at Fort Knox, Kentucky; Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC) as an Observer Controller, at Fort Polk, Louisiana; 2nd 13th Cavalry at Fort Bliss, Texas where he deployed to Iraq in support of Operation New Dawn ‘11-’12. First Sergeant Wright also deployed to Afghanistan in the support of Operation Enduring Freedom ‘12-’13, with the 4th Brigade 2nd Squadron 13th Cavalry Fort Bliss, Texas as the Sergeant Major on the Security Forces Assist Advisor Team (SFAAT).

First Sergeant Wright has also served overseas with 1st Battalion 38th Infantry at Mainz, Germany; 1st Battalion 48th Infantry at Mannheim, Germany; 4th Squadron 7th Cavalry at Camp Hover, Korea, and 3rd Squadron 4th Cavalry at Schofield Barracks Hawaii, where he deployed to Afghanistan in the support of Operation Enduring Freedom from ‘04-’05.

First Sergeant Wright’s military education includes the Warrior Leadership Course, the Basic and Advanced Noncommissioned Officer Courses, First Sergeants Course, Battle Staff Course, Master Fitness Course, and Airborne Course. He has an Associate’s Degree in Political Science from Central Texas College. He is also pursuing his Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science. 1SG Wright has served in numerous leadership positions within Cavalry, Armor and Infantry units including: Bradley Commander, Section Sergeant, Platoon Sergeant, First Sergeant, and Sergeant Major.

His awards and decorations include 2 Bronze Star Medals, 4 Meritorious Service Medal, 3 Army Commendation Medal, 4 Army Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal, NATO Service Medal, and the Airborne Badge. First Sergeant Wright is a recipient of the Draper Armor Leadership Award, the Armor Association’s Honorable Order of Saint George.

First Sergeant Wright is married to Angela; he has two sons Timothy Jr, Trinidad, and one daughter Keisha and three grandchildren, Nehemiah, Jalen, and Jesiah. His personal interests include family, coaching and traveling. He plans to seek employment as a JROTC Instructor, and a Coach of a high school football team.
