It is important to remember that make-up work is not permitted for unexcused absences.

•             A doctor's note must be presented for work to be made up for all absences over four (4) or two (2) days.  This is in accordance with board policy.

•            Four (4) parent written notes are allowed per full credit course and two (2) parent written notes are allowed per half credit course.  After the allowed 4 or 2 notes, all other absences must be accompanied by a doctor's note or will be marked unexcused.

      • "NC" grade is issued to any student who missed more than four (4) days unexcused in a full credit course or more than two (2) days unexcused in a half credit course who made a passing grade (A,B,C,D).

      • Four (4) tardies count as one absence in a class, and in turn, the absence counts toward the four (4)/two (2) days allowance.

      • The principal or his designee shall notify the parent or guardian of the student's attendance record on the third day of an unexcused absence.

      • The principal is the only person in the school authorized to allow credit after the fourth day of an unexcused absence.

      • A conference concerning the denial of credit must be made with the principal within ten (10) school days of the receipt of the report card.
